Tandem by Anna Jarzab
Tandem is unlike any book I have read. I'm not huge fan of science fiction, but this book didn't feel like a science fiction book to me. It's a quick read that starts out strong, slows down a little in the middle, and finishes with a bang!
Sasha is our main character, and she is a normal teenage girl. I liked her right away. She's nice girl with nice friends, who is respectful of the grandfather raising her. And, Sasha likes to read! One day while reading in her favorite bookstore, her long time crush walks in. Grant has never shown interest in her before. Sasha is a little confused by his sudden interest but goes with it. There is a nice little romance, which ends abruptly, when Sasha wakes up in an alternate world and finds out that Grant is actually Thomas - Grant's doppelgänger!
The pages turned quickly and the ending left me wanting more. I wish I didn't have to wait so long for book 2. I will definitely pick up this book for my library. This is a great book for girls interested in sci-fi.
